Nicolas Jose Dee Rodriguez December 6, 1989 – May 14, 2015 Nicolas “Nic” Jose Dee Rodriguez, 25 of Winchester, VA passed away suddenly in a car accident on May 14, 2015. Proceeded in death by his grandpa, Dennis Roberts. Survived by mom, Holly Roberts (Thomas) and dad, Jose Rodriguez (Colleen), grandmas Colleen and Mama Edith, grandpa Papa Jose, aunt Lorena, Nunny (Bob), Tank (Josh) and uncles Humberto (Idilia) and Nestor (Natalia), and siblings, cousins, family members, and a large group of supported friends that loved him deeply. Nic graduated from Armstrong High, New Hope, MN in 2008 and was currently attending classes at Lord Fairfax Community College in Virginia. Nic had a very unique sense of humor and a kind heart. His smile and whimsical disposition lightened every room. His innocent jokes, constant offering of random facts and sporting statistics, his sometimes slightly inappropriate, boastful declarations made him endearing to all that met him. He often left those he met smiling, sometimes bewildered, but always left them knowing they had just met a very unique young man! Visitation will be at the Resurrection Lutheran Church in Woodbury, MN on May 20, 2015 from 10-11:00am, with a service and luncheon immediately following. Nic struggled with mental illnesses so the family would like to provide support for other individuals and their families coping with mental illness in the hospital. In lieu of flowers, the family is accepting memorials, which will be used to purchase and donate items to local Behavior Health Units. Since Nic was a sports fanatic, you are invited to attend and show your support by wearing your favorite team colors (as long as they’re not green and gold).
