Menzies, Louise Carey January 29th, 1927 – May 9th, 2015 The Menzies Family is greatly saddened to announce the passing of our mother and grandmother, Louise Menzies. Mom passed peacefully at home with her family by her side. Louise was predeceased by her husband, Donald Henry Menzies, and is survived by her two children William Menzies (Norine) and Margaret Fraser (Kevin). Louise was a most-beloved grandmother to Brock (Kaity), Clifton (Caroline), and Ryan; step-grandmother to Brendan and Corey; and proud great-grandmother of baby Charlotte. Predeceased by her sister Bette (Elizabeth) Ragsdale and her half-siblings Ruth and Bill, she will be sadly missed by her brother-in-law Robert Ragsdale, her nieces Lynne Ragsdale and Lisa Ahern (Carl), and by her nephew Rob Ragsdale (Susan) and their children. Our family extends sincere thanks to the wonderful staff at Chartwell Regency (and the Bayshore nurses) for their kindness and care during mom’s time with them. The funeral service will be at St. Olave’s Anglican Church, 360 Windermere Avenue, Toronto on Thursday May 14th, 2015 at 11:00am. Family and friends would already know that Mom would never want people to “make a fuss over her”, so there will be no visitation before her funeral. Louise will be interred beside her husband, at the Castleford Union Cemetery, during a private family service this summer. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. James Anglican Church (Carleton Place ON) would be most gratefully appreciated.
