Betty Hylton

Betty Jane Hylton, 91, of Berea, died Thursday, May 7, 2015 at The Terrace Nursing Home. Betty moved to Kentucky when she was five years old and has lived on the family farm most of her life. Betty was born to the late Hubert Flannery and the late Bertha Porter Flannery and was a retired cook for Berea Community School. In addition to her parents, Betty was also preceded in death by her husband Cecil Hylton and one son Jimmy Hylton. She is survived by her daughter Judy (Roger) Dean, her sons Kenny (Debbie) Hylton and George (Kandi) Hylton all of Berea. She has nine grandchildren Gina (Lindsey) Rash, Charlie Hylton, Johnny Hylton, Carlos (Kelly) Dean, Emily (Mike) Minix, Brad (Amy) Hylton, Jr. (Tina) Sell, Jill Hylton and Eli Hylton and 12 great grandchildren. One sister Josephine Sizemore also survives her. Serving as pallbearers will be Carlos Dean, Brad Hylton, Jr. Sell, Christian Sell, Leonard Bratcher and James Kelley. Funeral services will be 11am Saturday May 9, 2015 at Lakes Funeral Home with Rev. Jeff Osborne officiating. Burial will follow in the Porter-Hylton Cemetery on Gabbardtown Road. Visitation will be from 6-9 pm Friday at Lakes Funeral Home.
