Helen K. Grimm, 90, of Decatur passed away Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at Parkview Regional Medical Park. Helen was born on December 16, 1924 in Jay County, IN to the late John Jacob and Miriam (Fennig) Leininger. On January 6, 1961 she married Lafe Grimm; he preceded her in death on February 1, 2000. Helen was a member of the First Baptist Church. She worked as a bookkeeper for All American Homes. Helen is survived by her two sons, Tom Drake of Decatur and Joe Drake of Pleasant Mills; daughter, Jane Drummer; and daughter-in-law, Kae Grimm both of Decatur; sister, Virginia (Bob) Wendel of New Corydon, IN; five grandchildren, Kent (Deb) Hart, Kraig (Trois) Hart, Kris Call, Todd Grimm, Mike (Jill) Grimm, Janet Bebout (adopted granddaughter); 13 great-grandchildren, Melanie (Kent) Kershner, Abby (Jason) Bird, Erin (Brian) Donovan, Abbi Hart, Jenna (Wes) Lamons, Lindley (Andrew) Colchin, Samantha (Tim) Smith, Ryan Hart, Adam Hart, Cameron Hart, Logan (Cassie) Call, Audrey Grimm and Margaret “Meg” Grimm; 17 great-great-grandchildren, Devin Kershner, Brynlee Straub, Easton Kershner, Taylor, Maddox and Brianna Bird, Ethan, Rylee Donovan, Aniya Hart, Kaylin Pascual, Zaydan, Kaylana, Bean and Oaksdin Lamons, Haylee Brown, Ava Colchin and Savannah Smith. Helen was preceded in death by her first husband, Richard G. Drake, 2nd husband Lafe Grimm; son, Tom Grimm and brother, John W. Leininger. Visitation will be from 2:00-6:00 p.m. Friday, May 8, 2015 at the First Baptist Church Fellowship Hall. Funeral Service will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 9th at the First Baptist Church with Pastor Whitney West officiating. Burial will be in Decatur Cemetery. In Lieu of Flowers - memorials are to First Baptist Church.
