Inez de Sales Cannon Ball, age 80, of Ft. Myers, FL died April 24, 2015, at her home. Graveside services will be held at the Dayton family cemetery at 11:30 a.m. May 9, 2015 in Dayton, AL. Kirk Funeral Home will be directing the service. Born January 12, 1935 in Dayton, Alabama, she was the daughter of the late John William Cannon and Mary Annie Allen Cannon and the granddaughter of the late John Peyton Allen and Inez Prowell Allen. She was also preceded in death by her former husband Charlie A. Ball. She is survived by a sister Vickie Allen Daniel Baldwin (Randolph Baldwin), nieces Tania Cheri Baldwin and Lisa Levin Baldwin Stevenson (Donald Stevenson), Uncle Phillip Cannon, cousins Martha Holt McKnight (Clifton), May Holt, Larry Holt and close friend Claudia Moseley. She was surrounded by her dear friends Jean Spraddlin, Rosemary Wilson, Russell and JoAnn Smith, Jessica and Jackie Brown, and Gayle Malvezzi all of Florida who loved and cared for her each day. Inez “Cokie” went to Marengo high school and attended Southern Methodist University. She was known for her beautiful voice and sang at many weddings and in her church choir at the Dayton Methodist Church. In her younger years, she was the Marengo County Maid of Cotton. Inez was also a Power’s model for the New York based modeling agency. She loved music and continued to sing in her church choir in Florida, where she served faithfully. Known for her beauty, her amazing voice and outgoing personality she will be missed by all that were blessed to have known her.
