Helen Ida Nilson, 92, died May 1, 2015 at her home in Warren. Helen was born June 2, 1922 in Warren to Elmus and Loradah Kaler Boggs. She grew up in Warren and attended local schools. She worked as a laborer at several places including Bath Iron Works and at several local sardine packing plants. She also worked on a large farm taking care of over 30 head of cattle. She enjoyed going to yard sales, collecting antiques, going out to eat and participating in community activities. The family would to thank Helen’s workers who took care of her over the years, Susan Paulsen and Cindy Hatt of Warren and Todd Austin of Chelsea. She was predeceased by her husband, Evert Nilson; and a brother, Willis “Jim” Boggs. She is survived by several nieces and nephews A graveside service to celebrate Helen’s life will be held 2 p.m. May 5th at the Sterling Cemetery, Sterling Road, Warren.
