Sherry Cameron

Sherry Ann Cameron, age 52 of Free Soil, passed away on Thursday April 23, 2015 at home surrounded by her family. She was born on December 4, 1962 in Ludington, daughter of Douglas Jolly and Brenda (Lange) Organ. She attended Mason County Central High School in Scottville. On August 9, 1980 she married Daniel Cameron in Manistee at Good Shepard Lutheran Church. Sherry worked as the office manager for Cameron Brothers Well Drilling for 27 years. She was a member and past President of the Michigan Groundwater Association Ladies Auxiliary, member of the West Michigan Fair Board and an N.R.A. member. She enjoyed bowling, hunting, fishing cross country skiing, horseback riding, motorcycles, traveling with her husband, swimming and loved spending time with her family. Sherry is survived by her husband, Dan Cameron of Free Soil; daughter, Danielle (Patrick) O’Rorke-Stedman of Bear Lake; son Broc (Tori) Cameron of Scottville; grandchildren, Rebecca, Brendan, Colsen, Bristol and Casper; mother, Brenda (John) Organ of Ludington; sister, Shana (Rick) Huggard of Scottville; 2 brothers, Bernie (Dawn) Lensky of Free Soil and Steve Jolly of Ludington; mother and father-in-law, Jean and Don Cameron of Free Soil; brother-in-law, David (Lynn) Cameron of Free Soil; sister-in-law, Dianne (Todd) Schubert of Free Soil; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She is preceded in death by her step-father, Arthur E. Barton. Sherry was an amazing person that would do anything for her loved ones. She cherished every moment spent with them. She was incredibly proud of each and every one of them. She loved her grandkids and spoiled them daily. She was the most incredible mother and wife and was an inspiration to all that knew her. She will be dearly missed and will forever remain in our hearts and will live on in her children and grandchildren. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life gathering for Sherry will be held from 4:00 till 7:00P.M. on Saturday May 2, 2015 at Farmview Resort in Free Soil. Memorial contributions in memory of Sherry may be directed to Hospice of Michigan, 5177 West U.S. 10, Suite 2, Ludington, MI 49431.
