ARGYLE, Doris L. Imrie, 92, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 25, 2015 at the Glen Falls Hospital. Born March 3, 1923, in Haines Falls, NY she was the daughter of the late Dorothy (Burton) Layman. Doris grew up in Menands, NY and attended The College of Saint Rose. She married Robert W. Imrie who predeceased her. Doris was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was the creator of beautiful hand- sewn quilts and was a lifelong avid reader of books. She was a Friend of the Argyle Free Library and served on their board. Doris loved nature and was especially fond of trees. She raised many German Shepherds over the years and is survived by many family and friends who loved her. Friends may call from 1-3pm on Sunday, May 10, 2015 at the M.B.
