Evelyn "Sue" Crabtree

Mrs. Evelyn “Sue” Crabtree, age 57, of Rosedale, Virginia passed away Wednesday (April 22, 2015) in an Abingdon, Virginia hospital. Born September 23, 1957 in Grundy, Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Bruce and Mary Magdelene Stevens Barton. A lifelong resident of the area, she was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family. She also enjoyed watching television and her favorite show was Rachel Ray on Food Network. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers and one sister. Survivors include her husband of thirty-seven years, Sidney Crabtree of the home; one son and daughter-in-law, Christopher and Carey Ellen Dye Crabtree of Rosedale, Virginia; one daughter and son-in-law, Mary Ann and Christopher Brian Crabtree of Pine Creek, Virginia; seven grandchildren, Christopher Ryan Crabtree, Jordan Nathaniel Crabtree, Haley Brook Morgan Miller, Caitlin Elizabeth Miller, Connor Brian Miller, Jacob Tyler Crabtree and Sophia Grace Hale; six brothers, Gary Barton, Jeff Barton, Bill Barton and Winfred C. Barton all of Council, Virginia, Robert “Peanut” Barton of Bland, Virginia and Ray Barton of Lebanon, Virginia; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 PM Friday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Roy Lee Wilson officiating. Interment will follow in the Ketron Memorial Gardens in Lebanon, Virginia. Pallbearers will be Brady Crabtree, Danny Allen Crabtree, Bobby Crabtree, Dustin Barton, Larry Barton and Cody Barton. The family will receive friends at the Honaker Funeral Home after 6 PM Thursday.
