Lucille G. Payne, 76, of Winchester, died Friday, April 17, 2015 at her home. Mrs. Payne was born August 10, 1938 in Winchester; the daughter of Kendall O. Gardner and Virginia Newlin Gardner. She was preceded in death by her husband Reason E. Payne. She is survived by her children, Denise Royston of Winchester, Michael Payne of Winchester and Chris Payne of Strasburg; four grandchildren, tiffany Cooper, Brandon Cooper, Melissa Evans, and Amber Payne; Tessa Lantz and five great grandchildren; two brothers and two sisters. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at the Jones Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Shenandoah Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Lanny Gardner, Buzzy Gardner, Mitch Krippner, Brandon Cooper, Donnie Light and Gary Gardner, Jr. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
