Dovie Brewer

Dovie Brewer 93 of McKee passed away Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at the Baptist Health Hospital in Lexington. Dovie was born in New Zion to the late Wilburn and Susie Sparks Gabbard. She was a member of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband Claude Brewer and one son Jerry Brewer. She is survived by her children Sue Brewer, Kenneth (Melissa) Brewer, Roger (Kay) Brewer, Ronnie (Christie) Brewer, Joe (Sandy) Brewer, Lynn (Judy) Brewer, Jack (Heike) Brewer and two brothers Sherman Gabbard and Wid Gabbard. Twenty-one grandchildren and several great and great-great grandchildren also survive her. Funeral services will be 2pm Sunday April 19, 2015 at Cornerstone Baptist Church on North Powell Ave in Berea with Bro. Roy Himes officiating. Burial will follow in the Brewer Family Cemetery in Jackson County. Visitation will be Saturday evening from 6-9 pm at the Cornerstone Baptist Church.
