Jack Fields

Jack Willis Fields, age 81 of Free Soil, passed away on Monday April 13, 2015 at his home. He was born on October 5, 1933 in Benton Harbor, MI the son of the late Harry Fields and Vivian (Mock) Brown and his step-father Richard Brown. He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving in Germany. Jack married the love of his life, Joy Revolt on April 30, 1960 at Guardian Angels Catholic Church in Manistee and would of celebrated 55 years this April 30th. Jack had been employed at Taber Construction, Century Boat Company, & Ex-Cell-O Corporation. During his career as a carpenter he built over 38 homes and garages, etc. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Jack was a member of Crossroads Church in Scottville. Survivors include his wife, Joy Fields of Free Soil; 2 brothers-in-law, Jess (Sylvia) Revolt of Manistee and Jerome Revolt of North Carolina. Nieces and nephews also survive. He was also preceded in death by 2 brothers, Richard and Harry, and grandparents. Memorial Services will be held Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Crossroads Church in Scottville with Pastor Rich Chasse officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 10:00 AM until time of service. Final interment will be in the Grant Township Cemetery.
