Michael C. Sames Sr., 63, of Hereford passed away peacefully at his home on April 11, 2015. He was the beloved husband of Alice (Gerhart) Sames. Born in Sellersville, he was a son of Earl W. Sames of Macungie, and the late Helen Mae (Luck) Sames. He served his country honorably in the Army during the Vietnam War. Following his service, he was a truck driver for Milford Enterprises in Quakertown. Surviving with his wife and father are his children: Sandra Slonaker of Hereford, Michael C. Sames Jr. of Shenendoah, PA, and Christie, wife of Robert Hillegas Jr. of Allentown; his grandchildren: Mikie III, Bethany, Angelica, Tyler, Marcus, Scott, Zoe, Damien, Lily, and Austyn; and a great grandson, Lukas. He was predeceased by a brother, Christopher and a grandson AJ Slonaker. A Celebration of his life will be held at 8 PM on Thursday at the Falk Funeral Home, 163 Main Street, Pennsburg, where all are invited to a viewing beginning at 6:30 PM. He will be laid to rest in Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Rd, Newtown, PA 18940 at 10:30 AM on Friday with full military honors.
