Beverly A. Buckingham, 88 of Decatur, died Sunday, April 12, 2015 at Adams Memorial Hospital. Beverly was born in Adams County, IN on September 17, 1926 to the late Pryor and Mabel (Shady) Gilbert. On May 20, 1950 she married Paul L. Buckingham. Beverly was a homemaker. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Paul L. Buckingham of Decatur; a son, Kevin L. (Laurel) Buckingham of Decatur; four daughters, Kathleen S. (Craig Barkley) Baker of Decatur, Debra A. (Phil) Braun of Decatur, Teresa K. (James) Stevenson of Phoenix, AZ and Melanie L. (Matt) Macke of Decatur; 20 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. Beverly was preceded in death by a grandson, Doug J. Braun; a great granddaughter, Addison Gephart; a brother, Samuel P. Gilbert and 3 sisters, Betty Jean Gilbert, Nina M. Gilbert and Caroline J. Butcher. Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at Haggard-Sefton & Hirschy Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 16th also at the funeral home with Pastor Troy Green officiating. Burial will be in Decatur Cemetery. Memorials are to MDA.
