Brenda Dorella Burt was born December 16, 1959 in Saskatoon. She was the eldest daughter of Albert and Lorraine Holdner. She grew up in the village of Young where she completed her schooling and then joined the Armed Forces as a Private. Brenda married Barry Burt on December 17, 1979 and gave birth to her only child, Margaret, shortly thereafter. Brenda became a Registered Nurse and worked in numerous hospitals for many years. She had a special gift in caring for others and one of her dearest moments was that she was able to care for her mother when she was dying. Brenda had a zest for life and her passions included traveling, cooking, stained glass, and her dog, Angus. Her most recent passion, however, was being the best grandmother she could be to her grandsons- Hudson and Hayden. Brenda is survived by her loving family; daughter Margaret (Devin) Baker, grandsons Hudson and Hayden; former husband Barry Burt; brother Brad (Marie), nephew Blaine (Angela) and great-niece Claudia; brother Terry (Keri); sister Shauna (Lance), nephew Zackary and niece Ali; aunts Sandra Christensen, Debra Teneycke, Irene Holdner (Harold) and Irene Holdner (Raymond) and uncles Ross (Lauri) Teneycke and William (Jane) Holdner; and a large extended family. She was predeceased by her parents Albert and Lorraine Holdner; brother Duaine; uncles Don Teneycke, Ken Teneyke, Ray Christensen, Bill Matshes, Harold Holdner, Leo Holdner, Raymond Holdner, Alfred (Coral) Holdner and Charlie Holdner; aunts Marilyn Teneycke and Leona Stevens.
