Albert Ward

Mr. Albert Ward, age 63, of Patterson, Louisiana, passed away Friday (April 3, 2015) at his home. Born February 2, 1952, he was a son of the late Tom William and Nora Blankenship Ward. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Frank Ward, Melvin Ward, James Ward, and Sam Ward. Survivors include his wife of thirty-three years, Marleen Ward of Patterson, Louisiana; three daughters, Lisa Buff and Cyndi Ward both of Raven, Virginia, and Jessica Ward of Morgan City, Louisiana; three step-children, Geraldine Soto and Gerald Guillory both of Morgan City, Louisiana, and Darlene Frye of Patterson, Louisiana; special son, Kevin Lynch of Patterson, Louisiana; nine grandchildren, Arminda Bryd, Thomas Byrd, Samuel Byrd, Niketta Ward, Melanie Mullins, Jerlynn Ward, Robert James Hatcher, Hunter James Aucoin, and Stevie Laine Aucoin; two brothers, George Ward and wife, Trudy of Charlotte, North Carolina, and Needom Ward of Castlewood, Virginia; one sister, Nancy Ward of Castlewood, Virginia; great-grandchild, Dakota Byrd; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Thursday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel, Honaker, Virginia with Rev. Ralph Shortridge officiating. Interment will follow in the Blankenship-Rowe Cemetery at Rowe, Virginia. Pallbearers will be Robert Byrd, Wendell Childress, Ernest Cooper, George Ward, Tony Spencer, Darrin Childress. Honorary pallbearers will be Niketta Ward, Thomas Byrd, Samuel Byrd, Patrick Fulkerson, Melanie Mullins, and Arminda Byrd. Friends may call at the Honaker Funeral Home after 6:00 PM Wednesday.
