Lillian Heitman Baer

Lillian Edna Haeder Heitman Baer, 90, of Gypsy, passed away at 11:30pm, Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at her residence. She was born in Newark, NJ, October 3, 1924 a daughter of the late George and Elizabeth Schell Haeder. Twice married, She was preceded in death by her first husband, Earnest Heitman, Jr. in February of 1962 and her second husband, Herbert Baer in November of 1970. Surviving are four children, Patricia Heitman, Buckhannon, Pastor George Heitman and his wife Patty, Gypsy, Barbara Baer, Pensicola, FL, Robert Baer and his wife Tina, Winder, GA, one step-daughter, Nancy Baer, Atlanta, GA, eight grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, one sister, Delores Kremins and her husband Richard, Wilson, NC, one niece, Katherine Kremins, and her faithful dog “Snoopy”. She was also preceded in death by one son, Earnest Heitman, III, one stepson, Herbert T. Baer, and one nephew, Ken Kremins. Lillian had formerly worked as a switchboard operator for several companies, a bookkeeper for the US Trust Bank in Newark, NJ, and most recently as a samples representative at Chick-fil-A in the Meadowbrook Mall. Her favorite job was being Grandma. She was a faithful member of Bible Baptist Fellowship, Gypsy. The family would like to extend their sincere thankfulness to the staff of Amedisys Hospice for their care of Lillian. Friends may call at the Perine Funeral Home, 1348 S. Pike St., Shinnston from 2-8pm, Monday. Funeral Services will be held at Bible Baptist Fellowship Church in Gypsy at 11am, Tuesday, April 7, with Pastors Rob and Tim Morrison officiating. Lillian will lie in state one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery, West Milford. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Bible Baptist Fellowship Church Parsonage Fund, P.O. Box 151, Gypsy, WV 26361.
