TROKE, Eliza Elaine “Bette” (nee Scharfe) Passed away peacefully at Renfrew Victoria Hospital on Monday, March 30, 2015 in her 85th year. Beloved wife of the late R.L. Troke. Loving mother of Penny Elliot (Brian) of Newmarket and Peter Troke of Renfrew. Proud Grandma of James Elliot, Robert Elliot (Jessica), Julie Elliot (Paul), Jeannine Schickedanz (John) and Dakker Troke, and Great-Grandma of Katelyn, Jacob, Addison and Sawyer. Dear sister of Joy Carswell (Allan). Predeceased by her brother Newell Scharfe. Bette will be remembered by her nieces, nephews, relatives and many friends. She cherished her family and friends, and her ministry of music. Visitation at McPhail & Perkins Funeral Home, 85 Munroe Ave. E., Renfrew, on Wednesday, April 1, 2015 from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at Trinity-St. Andrew’s United Church on Thursday at 2 p.m. Interment at Rosebank Cemetery in the spring. In lieu of flowers, donations to Trinity - St. Andrew’s United Church, the Bonnechere Manor Foundation, or the Renfrew Victoria Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family. The family would like to thank Dr. Strader, the caring and loving staff at Bonnechere Manor, and the staff at Renfrew Victoria Hospital for their care and support.
