COWELL, Madeline - Passed away peacefully with her family by her side at Alexandra Hospital, Ingersoll on Saturday March 28, 2015 in her 82nd year. Beloved wife of Robert “Bob” Cowell for over 60 years. Loving mother of Gord Cowell and his wife Kelly and Jeanne Sarra and her husband Libro. Cherished grandmother of Ashley, Jason and Natalie. Dear sister of Dorothy and Earl “Jake” Baskette, Marion and Dave Ellis, Doreen and Doug Nash, Barbara Currie, Jim Currie and will be remembered by her in-laws; Grace and Norman Lemon, Joan and Bob Caffyn and Allan “Pete” and Carol Cowell, by her many nieces and nephews and will be remembered as The Farmer Grandma. Madeline was the organist and member at West Oxford United Church for many years. Friends are invited to join the family at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock on Wednesday April 1, 2015 from 3-5 and 7-9 pm, where the complete funeral service will be held in the chapel on Thursday at 1:00 pm. Interment later in the Harris St. Cemetery, Ingersoll. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Canadian Cancer Society, West Oxford United Church or Alexandra Hospital Palliative Care Unit would be appreciated.
