Ms. Florence “Mamaw” O’Quinn Coleman, age 92, of Richlands, Virginia, passed away Tuesday (March 24, 2015) in a Richlands, Virginia Hospital. Born August 6, 1922 in Council, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Rodney and Barbara O’Quinn. Florence was of the Holiness faith and loved being a Grandma. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers Paul O’Quinn and Orville O’Quinn; four sisters, Lucinda O’Quinn, Ruth Miller, Alice Taylor, and Dorothy O’Quinn; one son, Willie Lee Coleman; one son-in-law, Gene Sparks. Survivors include her three sons, David Coleman and wife, Gaynell of Claypool hill, Virginia, Bennie Coleman and wife, Mary of Lynchburg, Virginia, Ronnie Coleman and wife, Sharon of Richlands, Virginia; four daughters, Mary Sparks of Doran, Virginia, Lettie Stiltner and husband, Steve of Pounding Mill, Virginia, Kathy Anders and husband, John of Richlands, Virginia, Debbie Jones and husband Don of Abingdon, Virginia; one daughter-in-law, Joyce Coleman of Greensborough, North Carolina; Thirteen Grandchildren; Seventeen Great Grandchildren; one nephew, Paul O’Quinn, Jr. of Keen Mountain, Virginia; special caregivers, Sharon Coleman, Diane Byrd, April Shortt, Sherry Cox. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Thursday at the Honaker Funeral Home in Honaker, Virginia with Sister Lisa Haywood officiating. Interment will follow in the Victor Meade Cemetery at Honaker, Virginia. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Friends may call at the Honaker Funeral Home after 6:00 PM Wednesday.
