David Sprunger

David A. Sprunger 80, of Decatur, passed away Sunday March 22, 2015 at Adams Memorial Hospital. He was born on September 10, 1934 to the late Arlo and L. Pearl (Massey) Sprunger in Hartford City, Indiana. On September 17, 1955 David married Joan Y. Laurent. David was the owner and operator of Dave’s Microwave Service, served his country in the United States Naval Air Reserves. David was a member of the American Legion Post # 43, Elks Lodge, and the Moose Lodge #1311. He is survived by his wife Joan Y. Sprunger of Decatur, one son Bruce D. (Ann) Sprunger of Harlan, IN., two daughters Beth L. Emmons of Fort Wayne, IN., and Patricia J. (Stan) Meyer of Ossian, IN., two half-brothers Truman and Richard Goldner, one half-sister Deb Judy , two step sisters Ellen Allison and Mary Lou (Leo) King, 7 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren. David was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, three step brothers, and one half sister. Reciting of the Holy Rosary will be held on Wednesday March 25, 2015 at 3:30pm followed by visitation from 4:00 to 8:00pm at Haggard Sefton & Hirschy Funeral Home. Funeral services will also be held at the funeral home on Thursday March 26, 2015 at 11:00am. Memorial contributions may be made to the family or donors choice.
