M. June Mason

M. June Mason M. June Mason, age 87 of Manton passed away on Friday March 20, 2015 at home surrounded by her family. She was born on May 20, 1927 in Big Bay, MI, daughter of the late Robert and Gracie (Phillips) Thorpe. She attended Covert High School and graduated with the class of 1946. June married Ralph Edwin Mason, Sr. on August 18, 1947. He preceded her in death on September 4, 1966. June attended NorthernLight Church of Cadillac and the Manton Baptist Church. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, gardening, teaching Sunday school and spending time with her loving family. June is survived by her sons, Terry (Denice) Mason of Covert and Bradley (Lynn) Mason of Lake City; daughter, Sarah (Randy) Jensen of McMillan; granddaughter, Samatha (Kenny) Harper of Manton; 22 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ralph; daughter, Connie Tesmer; sons, Riley Mason, Sr. and Ralph Mason, Jr.; and grandsons, Riley Mason, Jr. and Josh Graelick. Funeral services will be held at 1:00PM on Tuesday March 24, 2015 at NorthernLight Church of Cadillac with Pastor John Mellish officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation from 12:00PM until time of funeral service. A graveside service will be held at 3:00PM on Wednesday March 25, 2015 at Covert Township Cemetery in Covert, MI.
