Linda Moore

Linda K. Brooke Moore, 68, of Hummelstown, passed away Tuesday, March 17, 2015, in the Spring Creek Rehab and Health Center, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Cumberland, MD on December 16, 1946, she was the daughter of the late William R. and Mildred V. Schanholtz Brooke. Linda was a former office manager of Country Meadows, Hershey, and took great pride in caring for her family and home. She was a 1964 graduate of Liberty High School, Bethlehem. She was an active member of Zion Lutheran Church of Union Deposit. Linda was a lifetime member of the AACA: Antique Auto Museum at Hershey, volunteering over 1,000 hours of her time at the museum. She was an avid reader, enjoyed making crafts and creating scavenger hunts. Linda loved Christmas; decorating every room in her house for the holiday season. Linda is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Thomas A. Moore, Sr., whom she married on March 5, 1966; two daughters, Michele T. Paules wife of Mark D. of Emmaus, and Melissa K. Bixler wife of Tyson M. of Bayfield, CO; three sons, Thomas A. Moore, Jr. husband of Michelle R. of Middletown, Christopher W. Moore of Phillipsburg, NJ, and Jason R. Moore husband of Christy Sturm Moore of San Diego, CA; and five grandchildren, Marisa L. Thomas wife of Jordan D. of Middletown, Evan M. Paules of Emmaus, Thomas A. Moore III of Middletown, Carter B. Paules of Emmaus, and Mackenzie S. Moore of San Diego, CA. A memorial service will be held at a later date at Zion Lutheran Church of Union Deposit, 5 West Main Street, Hershey, with The Rev. Ursula Schreffler, her pastor, officiating. Trefz & Bowser Funeral Home, Inc., 114 West Main Street, Hummelstown, is handling the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the AACA: Antique Auto Museum of Hershey, 161 Museum Drive, Hershey, PA 17033.
