Marc M. Lied, age 59 of Ludington passed away on March 18, 2015 at his home. Marc was born on March 17, 1956 in Chicago, IL son of the late Gordon and Gertrude (Jerue) Lied. Following high school he attended Coyne American Institute where he later became an instructor. On August 11, 1984 at Bethany Lutheran Church Marc married Christine Slavicek. He worked at Smedburg Hardware in Custer, for his parents at Long Lake Resort in Walhalla, Bonser’s Market, White Pine Village, Bill Gennor’s Tractor and Service, Sounds Good Music Store, Seymour’s Sales and Service and many other odd jobs around the area. Marc was a member of the Eagle’s. He enjoyed trains, bowling, woodworking, and his traxxas car. Marc is survived by his wife, Christine Lied; son, Vincent (Jackie Grant) Lied; daughters, Cassey (Michael) Friedenthal and Serena (Michael) Collins; grandchildren, Maddie, Hunter, Rilie, Jennifer, Brandi, Caleob, Abby Friedenthal, Kaiden Hamilton and Tristyn Collins all of Ludington. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Gordon F. Lied Jr. Cremation has taken place and no services are planned at this time.
