Eleanor Faye “Miss Ellie” Pierce, 69, of Hepzibah, passed away at 2:45am, Friday, March 13, 2015 at the Sundale Nursing Home, Morgantown. She was born in Gloucester, MA, August 24, 1945, a daughter of the late William and Irene Smith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee Pierce, December 24, 2006. Surviving are her children, Scott Pierce and his fiancé Laura Martin, Hepzibah, Jay Pierce, Fredericktown, OH, Michelle Moore, Hepzibah, Bill Pierce and his wife Julia, Spelter, Sean Pierce, Bridgeport, 11 grandchildren, Charlene, Rob, Annaleigh, Marcus, Maryssa, Cheyenne, Ashley, Ryan, Nicci, Kendalyn, and Hannah, one great-grandson, Dylan, and her beloved dog, Velvet. Eleanor worked as an associate with K-mart for many years. She enjoyed collecting anything relating to polar bears. She also enjoyed the outdoors, jigsaw and word search puzzles, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Friends may call at the Perine Funeral Home, 1348 S. Pike St., Shinnston from 11am until the time of the service at 2pm, Monday, March 16, with Mr. Bobby Kearns officiating. Interment will be in the Lions Club Cemetery, Lumberport.
