Rodney Rogers Obituary

Rodney Rogers, 67, of Hector, passed away Tuesday, March 10, 2015, at St. Vincent Hospital in Morrilton. He was born November 19, 1947, in Phillipsburg, Kansas, son of the late Dale and Lois Nadine Jacobs Rogers. He served a total of 36 years in the Armed Forces, and retired as a Master Sergeant with the 69th Troop Command in the Army National Guard. He also was a member of the Knights of Columbus (Moline, Kansas), American Legion (Howard, Kansas), and loved hunting and fishing. He is survived by his wife, Inez Rogers; 3 daughters, Michelle and husband Mike Sharp of Skiatook, Oklahoma, Jessie and husband Brad Greschler of Denver, Colorado, and Shannon Calvert and Chase Seiler of Goddard, Kansas; son, Rico Mulder and wife Laura of Hector; 10 grandchildren, Alyssa, Jayden, Laurelle, Caleb, Braeden, Kinzley, Teegan, Grayson, Bentley, and Elenore; 1 great-grandchild, Quinn; brother, Richard Rogers; and numerous nieces, nephews, friends and family. Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM, Saturday, March 14, at St. Mary Church in St. Vincent (Conway County) with Father Jim Burnie officiating. Burial with full military honors is in Walnut Grove Cemetery under the direction of Lemley Funeral Service of Atkins. Rosary and visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 PM Friday at Lemley Chapel. Pallbearers are Chase Seiler, Rico Mulder, John Riley, Mike Sharp, Brian Gaines, and Charles Brashear.
