Hudson Falls Shirley Marie (Macey) Bruso,90, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at Glens Falls Hospital. Born in Fort Edward on January 15, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Elizabeth (Lemeuix) Macey. She was a graduate of Hudson Falls High School. On June 8, 1952, she married John H. Bruso at St. Mary’s Church in Hudson Falls, where they were communicants. They spent 48 years together before John’s passing in 2000. Shirley enjoyed her pet dogs, watching her soap operas, camping, trips to Salisbury Beach; she especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was her grandson, Joe’s, #1 fan and never missed one of his wrestling matches. She also enjoyed singing in the Fort Edward Minstrels with her husband. Left to cherish her memories are her children, Kathy Sidusky and husband Mike of Fort Edward, and Kevin Bruso of Hudson Falls, grandchildren, Joseph Sidusky and wife Amanda, Rebecca Sidusky and boyfriend Dale J. Barrett II, and Nathaniel Sidusky, two great grandchildren, Payton Sidusky and Dale Barrett III, along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Friends may call from 4-6pm on Sunday, March 15, 2015 at M.B. Kilmer Funeral Home, 82 Broadway, Fort Edward, NY 12828. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11am on Monday, March 16, 2015 St. Joseph’s Church, 164 Broadway, Fort Edward, NY 12828. The Rite of Committal will conducted at 3:00pm on Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Fort Edward. Donations in Shirley’s memory may be made to Fort Hudson Nursing Home 319 Broadway, Fort Edward, NY 12828. The family wishes to send a special thank you to the A-Wing Staff at Fort Hudson, Dr. Mihindu, the staff of Tower 6 at the Glens Falls Hospital especially Melissa Hafez for the great care they gave to Shirley.
