Margie Adela Acker, 89, of Forkland, passed away Sunday, March 8, at Bryan W. Whitfield Memorial Hospital. She was born March 24, 1925, in Mississippi to the late William Charles and Lilly Bell Sullivan. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Newton Acker; daughter, Patricia Diane Acker Alich; son, Frank Acker, Jr.; sisters, Ethel Johnson, Lena Dickie, Eunice Moore, Lillie Louise Frierson and Joanna Hardin; and brother, William Charles Sullivan. She is survived by her daughter, Deborah Acker Morgan; sister, Joyce (Henry) Bullock; brothers, Joseph Sullivan, Robert Sullivan and William Sullivan; grandchildren, Paula (Kirk) Hall, John Morgan, Heather (Michael) Skelton, Yvonne (Jerry) McKenzie, Christina (Paul) Warren, Frank Allen (Alana) Acker and Jamie Alich; great-grandchildren, Dannielle (Nick) Lee, Johnny Morgan, Jesi Mays, Katie McKenzie, Casey Morgan, Hannah Warren, Dalton McKenzie, Gracie Warren, Aiden Skelton, Hunter McKenzie, Parker Warren, Abby Acker, MJ Skelton and Zander Acker; and great-great-grandchild, Katy Milberger. Funeral services will be held Friday, March 13, at 2 p.m. at Forkland United Methodist Church. Burial will follow the service . Visitation will be held Thursday March 12, 2015, from 6 to 8 p.m.at the Funeral Home. Kirk Funeral Homes Demopolis Chapel directing.
