Millinocket – Dorothy A. Watts, 88, wife of the late Robert R. Watts, passed away Saturday, March 7, 2015 at a Millinocket hospital. She was born December 19, 1926 in Madison, the daughter of Leo J. and Lucille M. (Provost) Godin. Dot was a communicant of Christ the Divine Mercy Parish at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church in Millinocket. For almost 30 years, she worked at the Millinocket Regional Hospital as a Certified Nurse's Aide. Dot was an avid fan of the New England sports teams, especially the Red Sox and the Patriots. One of her favorite pastimes was playing Bingo. Dot is survived by three daughters, Dawn Stewart and her husband Ian of Millinocket, Brenda Misiura and her husband Peter of Medway, and Theresa McGowan and her husband Steven of East Millinocket; a daughter in law, Geneva McQuarrie; two sons in law, Stephen Shaw and Michael Fuller; 19 grandchildren; several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; a brother, Robert Godin of Oakland; a half sister, Phyllis Oden of Washington; a brother in law, Perley Fisher; a sister in law, Dorothy Pinkham; a special cousins, Doris Darveau of Massachusetts; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Dot will also be missed by very special friends Norma Dow and Betty Goody. In addition to her husband and parents, Dot was predeceased by a son, Robert McQuarrie, daughters, Lynette Shaw and Kathleen Fuller. The family would like to extend a special thank you to In Home Care for the wonderful care given to Dot, and also to Eastern Maine Medical Center and Millinocket Regional Hospital for the courtesies and kindnesses extended to Dot and her family. Friends are invited to visit with the family 6-8 P.M. Wednesday, March 11 at the Lamson Funeral Home, 11 Tamarack St., Millinocket. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 A.M. Thursday, March 12 at Christ the Divine Mercy Parish of St. Martin of Tours, 19 Colby St., Millinocket, with the Rev. Bruce Siket, pastor, presider. Gifts in memory of Dot may be sent to the Katahdin Area Support Group, P.O. Box 374, Millinocket, ME 04462.
