Kirby White Hawk

Kirby White Hawk was born on October 29, 1993 in Rapid City, SD. Kirby attended WKDS and Rockyford Elementary School where he graduated; he was in the School Dance Club as a Grass Dancer and was also in the Rodeo Club as a Jr. Bull Rider. His love for horses began as a young boy in which, he grew up riding horses and learned to train horses that led him to be a Horse Trainer and a Jockey for Race Horses. Just like his five older brothers, he was a Sundancer and he also danced at Pow Wow’s, participated in Rodeos, Traditional Horse Games, Indian Relay Horse Races and also rode race horses in the Professional Indian Horse Racing Association. As a Jockey he and his brothers traveled to: Ft. Pierre and Lower Brule South Dakota, Oklahoma, Miles City, Rocky Boy, Crow Agency and Crow Native Days in Montana, Sheridan, Wyoming, Shakopee, Minnesota, West Virginia, Pennsylvania and as far as Canada to participate in Horse Races. Numerous times he came home a Champion, representing the Oglala Lakota Nation. Kirby started out working for Calvin Ghost Bear, taking care of his race horses and eventually as his Jockey with the Lakota Warpath, in the Indian Relay Horse Races. Kirby was currently employed as a Horse Trainer for Bob Johnson Ranch in Lemmon, SD. Kirby’s mother is Vevina White Hawk of Manderson and his father, Dennis Quigley of Sioux Falls, SD. He has eight brothers and three sisters; Kyle & Clinton White Hawk, Ryder, Ricky & Joe Sierra of Manderson. Dwight & Wesley Quigley of Rapid City. Dennis, Nicole & Erica Quigley of Indio, CA.
