Eleanor S. Herbert, 97, of Winchester, VA, died Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at The Willows at Meadow Branch. Mrs. Herbert was born April 19, 1917 in Washington, D.C.; the daughter of Henry and Miriam Fairbanks Stopsack. She is survived by two daughters Kathleen A. Hardison of Winchester and Joan E. Gillin of Riva, MD. She is preceded in death by her husband, John Edward Herbert and a sister, Florence Mumaw. A committal service will be held Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at Mount Hebron Cemetery Chapel at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Mark Carey officiating.
