Mabel Pease Obituary

Mabel M. Pease, 82, passed away February 21, 2015 peacefully at her home in Union. Mabel was born in Appleton on January 21, 1933, the daughter of the late Roger and Hilda (Robbins) Morang. Mabel grew up in Appleton and attended local schools and was proud of the fact that she was on the high school basketball team for six years, try and figure that one out. Mabel worked for many years at Tibbetts Industries, but her passion was selling Avon. Mabel sold Avon products for over 34 years and got so busy helping people find their perfect look that she was able to leave Tibbetts and focus solely on running her business. Mabel truly had a gift and received many various awards for her work with Avon keeping and handing down many of her awards and beauty tips. One of Mabel’s proudest accomplishments was when she received her GED in 1968. Mabel completed this journey while working full time and raising three kids, a true testament to her drive to succeed. Mabel loved to dance, and could be found at a variety of different venues throughout the area dancing the night away where ever there was good music to be found Mabel was not very far behind. She loved to keep herself busy with crafts. She could be found crocheting and designing her own projects. In the spring and the summer Mabel loved to be in the garden and enjoyed filling up her bird feeders and watching as a variety of different birds would come and enjoy a meal as she was able to watch them from the comfort of her home. Mabel could also be found working on “her” puzzle, a historic puzzle that she would create take a part and start over again. Mabel also loved to give back to the community she loved. She did this by helping at the Thompson Community Center helping to run their flea market and also lent a hand during various Beano games throughout the year. She was one of a kind and had a heart of gold and will be sadly missed by all that knew and loved her, but they know that she will always be watching over them as she is dancing in the sky. She was predeceased by her first husband Robert Pease Brothers, Arthur and Kenneth Stockbridge, Roger Morang Jr. Sister, Pat Linden Survivors include her husband of 11 years Philip Pease of Union, Me Daughter, Bonnie Robinson and her husband Stan of Lincolnville, Me Son, Dennis Pease of Appleton Daughter, Becky Hughes and her husband Joe of Appleton Step-children, Bruce Beattie and his wife Sharon of Connecticut Katrina Oakes and her husband Tim of Appleton, Me Bruce Pease of Washington 9 Grandchildren 11 Great Grandchildren 3 Great Great Grandchildren Should friends desire memorial donations may be made to the Thompson Community Center, P.O. A celebration of Mabel’s Life will be held on Friday February 27, 2015 from 2 to 4 in the afternoon at the Masonic Hall in Union with a graveside service to be held in the spring.
