Holly Sue Woods Lear, 74, of Paint Lick, KY passed peacefully at home February 19, 2015. Holly was born in Leslie County, KY to Ottis and Amanda Caudill Woods on November 26, 1940. She was a dedicated employee at Dresser Industries for many years. She was a member of White Lick Baptist Church. She enjoyed fishing, swimming, watching her favorite game shows on television and UK Wildcat Basketball. She was a very generous, caring person, who loved spending time with her family. Holly is preceded in death by loving husband, Elmer Lee Lear; parents, Ottis and Amanda Woods; sisters, Fern Caldwell and Phyllis Napier; son-in-laws, Matthew Anderson and Tony Thornton, nephew Gary Caldwell and his wife Patty; and son, Darin Lear. Holly is survived by beloved sisters, Faye (Earl) Roark and Boots (Glen) Tolliver; children, Zondra Thornton, Butch Amburgey, Lee (Christene) Amburgey, and Tracci (Gerry) Metcalfe; grandchildren, David (Angie Malone) Thornton, Cameron (Tiffany Poynter) Amburgey, Jessica Amburgey, Kraig (Hannah) Anderson, Summer Lear, Christian Anderson, and Christopher Amburgey; great-grandchildren, Zoey Thornton, Avery Anderson, Mason Branson, Raydin Amburgey and Addison Thornton; mother-in-law, Anna Frances Lear; sister-in-law, Patricia Lear; former daughter-in-law, Kay Amburgey Smiddy; and many cherished nieces and nephews. Services will be held at Lakes Funeral Home in Berea on Thursday, February 26, 2015. Visitation will be from 11:00 am - 2:00 pm, with funeral directly after at 2:00 pm. Nephew, Jamie Roark will be officiating and burial will follow at Manse Cemetery in Paint Lick.
