Virginia Dale

Virginia May Dale, 92, of Frederick Living, and formerly of Pennsburg, Washington DC, and Willow Grove, passed away peacefully on February 17, 2015. She was the wife of the late John R. Dale, who passed away in 2007. Before moving to the Upper Perkiomen Valley, she worked as a clerk typist, first for the FBI and then for the Army Finance Office. She was also a Branch Chief, Secretary, and Administrative Assistant in the War Assets Office. After retirement, she and her husband created the Museum of Pennsylvania German Culture in Pennsburg, which was open from 1999 to 2007. She is survived by a daughter Joy, wife of William Luff, of Pennsburg; and grandchildren: John and his wife Erica; and, Jennifer and Taylor Luff. She was predeceased by a son, Robert. All are invited to a Graveside Service at 1 pm on Wednesday, February 25, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Cemetery, 1244 St. Paul’s Church Rd, Red Hill. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to St. Paul’s Church, PO Box 47, Red Hill, PA 18076 OR the Frederick Living Benevolent Fund, PO Box 498, Frederick, PA 19435.
