Mary C. Russo, 91, formerly of Pearson St. passed away the evening of February 13, 2015 at Golden Hill Nursing Home.

Born in New Castle on September 26, 1923, Mary was the daughter of the late Salvatore and Teresa Orrico Fava. Preceding her in death on September 26, 1991 is her husband, Anthony T. Russo.

Mary was a former employee of Shenango Pottery. She was a devoted member of the Christian Assembly Church in New Castle. She was a Sunday School teacher, a member of the choir and was active in the Women’s Ministries. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother who loved spending time with her family and friends.

Mary is survived by her son, Rev. Dale Russo and his wife Sandi of Beaver Falls, Pa.; her brother, Joseph Fava of New Castle and her two granddaughters, Noelle and Natalie.

In addition to her parents and husband, Mary is preceded in death by her sisters, Virginia Valentino, Vera Krause, Rose Massaro and her brother, Eugene Fava.

Visitation is Tuesday from 3:00PM to 8:00PM at the Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory 3000 Wilmington Rd. New Castle, Pa.

A service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday at 11:00AM officiated by her son, Rev. Dale Russo, pastor of Christian Assembly Church of Beaver Falls. Burial will take place at Castle View Memorial Gardens.
