Ray Treese

Ray J. Treese age 80 of Berea, died Thursday Feb. 12, 2015 at The Terrace. Ray was born in Athelstan, Iowa to the late Lloyd Raymond and Ruby Fern Treese. Ray was a retired engineer and went back to school to become an ordained minister in the Assemblies of God Church, he was actively serving as a campus minister at EKU. Ray was a member of the Faith Created Assembly of God Church in Richmond KY, he had been active in the Berea Kiwanis Club and a former Mason in Seymour IN and U.S. Navy veteran, Ray was an active volunteer for the St Joseph Berea Hospital and enjoyed playing golf. Ray is survived by his wife of 59 years Vera Carlson Treese of Berea, his children: Timothy Ray (Patty) Treese and daughter Connie Treese Gaylord (James) and four grandchildren: Kayla, Allison, Meghan, and Benjamin. Funeral services will be Monday Feb. 16, 2015 at 11 am at the Faith Created Assembly of God in Richmond; entombment will follow in the Madison County Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Visitation will be Sunday from 5-8 pm at Lakes Funeral Home in Berea. Online condolences may be made at www.lakesfuneralhome.com.
