Zena Lentz Obituary

Zena Mae Rogers Lentz, 70, of Hummelstown entered eternal rest on Thursday, February 12, 2015, in the M.S. Hershey Medical Center. Born in Harrisburg on November 25, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Richard K. and Beatrice A. Dettling Rogers. Zena had worked for the former PA Dutch Megs, Verdelli Farms in Hummelstown, and Intercon Systems in Harrisburg. A devoted mother and grandmother her family was first in her life. Zena was a very caring and loving woman who found joy in feeding the animals, and was supportive of many charities. Zena was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas R. “Russ” Lentz, Sr.; a great granddaughter, Lily Rayanne Reyes; and a brother Richard Charles Rogers. She is survived by two daughters, Charlene Y. Jorich wife of Jesse E. of Hummelstown, and Glenda M. White wife of Robert E. of Etters; one son, Thomas R. Lentz, Jr. husband of Michelle Nye Lentz of Hummelstown; eight loving grandchildren, Patrick B. Eberly, Weston O. Eberly husband of Emily, Elaina R. White, Lindsie N. Grega wife of Grayham, Ashlie A. Miller wife of Wesley, Kerstie D. Jorich fiancee of Chad Keebaugh, Autumn G. Lentz, and Thomas R. Lentz III; and nine precious great grandchildren, Kaelynn, Alivia, Lydon, Tayler, Liam, Mason, Daphne, Talon, and Lakin. Funeral services will be held Monday, February 16, 2015, at 11 AM in the Trefz & Bowser Funeral Home, Inc., 114 West Main Street, Hummelstown, with Deacon Paul E. Myers of Bressler Bible Church officiating. Interment will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Lower Paxton Township. Relatives and friends are invited to the viewings in the funeral home Sunday, February 15, 2015, from 6 to 8 PM, and Monday from 10 AM until time of the service.
