Mr. Albert C. “Pete” Bailey Jr. age 75, a resident of Columbus, MS passed away on Monday February 9, 2015 at the MS. Veterans Home in Kosciusko, MS. Visitation will be held on Thursday February 12, 2015 from 10:00 AM until 10:50 AM at the Antioch Baptist Church in Columbus, MS. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday February 12, 2015 at 11:00 AM at the Antioch Baptist Church. Graveside Services will be held on Thursday February 12, 2015 at 3:00 PM at the Hillsboro Baptist Cemetery in Hillsboro, MS. Officiating will be Bro. P.J. Mortensen. Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS is in charge of the arrangements. Mr. Bailey lived in Columbus, MS since 1978 until 2012. Mr. Bailey was raised in Forest and attended the Harperville Schools and then entered the Air Force, serving the country for 22 years. He retired from the Columbus Air Force Base in 1980. He was a Master Mechanic and known for his meticulous attention to detail and superior services. After his retirement he continued to “tinker” with repairing cars, often making a diagnosis by listening to the engine running. He worked for 20 years after his retirement with various contract companies at Columbus Air Force Base. He acquired his A&P License and received his management degree at EMCC. He was an avid motorcycle rider. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. Mr. Bailey is preceded in death by his parents, L.C. Bailey and Mary Kirkland; grandparents, Lillian Dodson Bailey and Charlie Bailey. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Barbara Bounds Bailey of Columbus, MS; one daughter, Gina Bailey Teague and husband Tim of Brandon, MS; several sisters and brothers; two grandchildren, Trenton Teague and Bailey Teague.
