McCallum, Robert (Bob) September 28, 1928 – February 9, 2015 Robert McCallum passed away February 9, 2015. Bob was born on September 28th, 1923 to Alexander and Jane McCallum just West of Simpson on the family farm. He was the third youngest of eight. Bob attended school at Sweet Hill School and after grade 10 he left to work various jobs. In 1954 he joined Pioneer Grain Company and worked in several communities and then in 1955 he got his first elevator in Sovereign. He married Audrey French on February 22, 1955 and a few weeks later he was offered the elevator in Imperial. He remained in Imperial until his retirement in 1987. They had one son Dean Robert. Bob enjoyed spending time with family and friends and always had a warm smile and hello for anyone he would meet. Left to cherish his memory and life are his loving wife, Audrey of 60 years and their loving son Dean (Penny), Biggar, SK. His three grandaughters, Stephanie (Devon) Bridges, Saskatoon, SK; Kelsey (Ryan) Unruh, Martensville, SK and Hailey McCallum, Saskatoon, SK. His sister Chris Valgardson and his brother Clayton. He was predeceased by his parents Alexander and Jane and his in-laws Pearl and Ben French; his brothers, Jim, Alex, Kenneth, Roy and his sister Helen. He was predeceased by numerous brother and sister-in-laws as well as nieces and a nephew. Memorial donations can be made to the Watrous and District Community Health Foundation.
