Kenneth L. Book, Jr., 66, of New Castle, passed away the afternoon of February 8, 2015 at his residence.

Born in New Castle on June 22, 1948, Kenneth was the son of the late Kenneth L., Sr. and Georgetta Clark Book. Surviving at home is his loving and devoted wife, the former Barbara Powell whom he married in 1973. Kenneth retired from Jameson Memorial Hospital where he worked in the laundry department. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his sons, nephews and brother.

In addition to his wife, Kenneth is survived by his three children, Christopher Book and his wife Beverly of Maffel, PA; Shawn Book and his wife Michelle of Mercer; Kenneth L. Book, III and his wife Mandy of New Wilmington; his brother, David Book of South Carolina; five sisters and nine grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Kenneth is preceded in death by one sister.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, March 14, 2015 at the New Creations Methodist Church 767 Arlington Ave. New Castle, Pa. 16101.
