Ivous Edna Henson, age 86, 121 Henson Lane, Erwin, passed away Monday, February 2, 2015, in the Unicoi County Memorial Hospital. She was a lifelong resident of Unicoi County and a daughter of the late Samuel and Clarsie Cooper Price. Mrs. Henson was a homemaker and she was of the Holiness faith. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of forty-four years, Ray O. Henson in 1998; five brothers, Oscar E. Price, Howard E. Price, Martin Price, Stward Price and Beachel Price; two sisters, Myrtle Harris and Etta Lee Hensley. Mrs. Henson leaves behind to cherish her memory a son, Ricky Brian Henson and wife, Angela; a daughter, Barbara Ray Higgins; a sister, Goldie Foster, all of Erwin; two grandchildren, Chadley Ray Henson and wife, Amber of Gray; Marianne Shepherd and husband, Brian of Erwin; four great-grandchildren, McKensey Shepherd, Jayla Shepherd, Bryston Shepherd and Grace Henson; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends also survive. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 P. M. Wednesday, February 4, 2015 in the Martins Creek Cemetery, Carolina Avenue, Erwin. Reverend E. L. Wheeler will officiate. Pallbearers will be Chad Henson, Cody Lafollette, Chase Honeycutt and Brandon Gouge. Those wishing to attend the graveside service are asked to assemble at the funeral home by 1:30 P.
