Hendrik "Henry" Van Dorp

Van Dorp, Henry “Henk” - Taken home peacefully to be with his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, on Saturday, January 31, 2015 at Woodstock Hospital in his 86th year.Born in Hazerswoude, Holland, July 21, 1929. Henk immigrated to Canada in June 1948. He was a loving husband of Leny for 61 years; and will be dearly missed by his seven children; John (Karen), George (Glenda), Connie (John), Henry (Susan), Calvin (Lisa), Lisa (Darryl), and Gabe. Cherished grandfather of twenty two grandchildren and three great-grand-children. Survived by brother Cor, sister Truus and sisters-in-law; Ria, Mary, and Willy. Predeceased by his siblings, Jan, Tony, Sander, Jacob and Ina. Henk was a long time member of Maranatha Christian Reformed Church, Woodstock. He loved farming and was an avid shuffle board player for many years. The family will receive friends at Brock & Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 519-539-0004 on Tuesday February 3, 2015 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be at Marantha Christian Reformed Church, 735 Frontenac Cres., Woodstock on Wednesday at 1:30 pm with Pastor Daryl Meijer officiating.
