Patricia Dimock Martin, 93, of Stockbridge, Massachusetts died Sunday January 25, 2015 at Aaron Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Chester, Connecticut. Born on May 8, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Louis Clinton Dimock, Sr. and Daisy Estella (Baker) Dimock. Pat graduated from Oxford School for Girls in 1939. She attended Arlington Hall Junior College for Girls in Arlington, Virginia, graduating in 1941. Pat grew up in Bolton, Connecticut with her four siblings; Diane, Daisy Ann, Richard and Louis, Jr. She married Richard Hall Martin on October 16, 1948. They resided for a short while in Argyle, New York eventually settling in Stockbridge, Massachusetts to raise their family. Pat and Dick were long time members of the Berkshire County Board of Realtors. They also were models for several Norman Rockwell illustrations; Boys Life, Mass Mutual, and Top Value Stamps. She was a longtime member of the Stockbridge First Congregational Church (60 plus years) and served on the Women’s Service League. Pat and Dick enjoyed skiing together in her younger years. They spent many years sailing Fishers Island Sound in front of their cottage in Stonington, Connecticut. Pat loved to cook, entertain friends and family, was an avid reader and especially loved spending time with her family. Pat is predeceased by her husband. She is survived by her son, Robert T. Martin. and his wife, Mary, of East Haddam, Connecticut; her daughter, Patricia M. Marchand and her husband Gene of Coventry, Connecticut and her three grandchildren, Casey Martin, Sarah Marchand and Matt Marchand who would make her face light up every time she saw them. She also leaves behind nieces and nephews who will greatly miss “Aunt Pat”. A memorial celebrating Pat’s life will be held on Saturday February 14, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at the First Congregational Church in Stockbridge, Massachusetts.
