Mabel Stohlmann

Mabel Stohlmann, 79, of Berne, IN died Friday, January 23, 2015 at Adams Woodcrest. Mabel was born in Pulaski County, IN on October 4, 1935 to the late Herbert R. and Anna T. Wagner. On August 20, 1960 she married the Rev. Paul F. Stohlmann Jr. He preceded her in death on March 6, 2005. Mabel was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Berne, where she was very involved in the life of the church and taught Sunday school for many years. She was a homemaker and a teacher at various Lutheran Schools. Mabel is survived by two sons, the Rev. John S. (Rebekah) Stohlmann of Queens, NY and Paul F. Stohlmann, III of Bluffton, IN. She was preceded in death by a brother Henry Wagner. Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Monday, January 26, 2015 at Haggard-Sefton & Hirschy Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 27th at Peace Lutheran Church. Officiating will be Rev. Russell Fuhrman, Pastor Donald Sauls and Pastor Martin Moehring. Burial will be in St. Peter Lutheran (Fuelling) Cemetery, rural Decatur. Memorials are to Peace Lutheran Church, Lutheran Hour Ministries and Worship for Shut-ins.
