Winifred Hack Clevenger

Winifred “Winnie” Hack Clevenger, 92, of Stephens City, VA, died Saturday, January 17, 2015. Mrs. Clevenger was born September 18, 1922, in Orkney Springs, Virginia; the daughter of the late Jacob Lee Walker and Clara Catherine Jenkins Walker. Winnie married Charles Herbert Clevenger August 9, 1997 in Winchester, VA. She loved to square dance, and spend time with her family. She was a member of Opequon Presbyterian Church for more than fifty years. Along with her husband, Winnie is survived by her children, M. Joe Orear and his wife Linda Sue of Woodstock, VA, “Kitty” Katherine VanMeter Hack Kraemer and her husband Jeffery Arthur of Stephens City, VA, and her favorite daughter Anne VanMeter Hack also of Stephens City; five grandchildren, Katherine Elizabeth Kraemer, Sara Ann Kraemer, Jessica Elaine Kraemer, Mitzi Marie Bible, and Amy Ellen Mantz; and six great grandchildren, Alex, Lydia, Camryn, Jarod, Trynda and Jaxon. A funeral service will be held Thursday, January 22, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Opequon Presbyterian Church, 217 Opequon Church Lane, Winchester, VA with Pastor David Witt officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10:00-11:00 a.m. A luncheon will follow the service at the church. Burial will be private. Pallbearers will be Katie Kraemer, Sara Kraemer, Jessie Kraemer, Nathan Timbrook, Marcus Baker and Chris Byrd.
