Lorraine Felda

Lorraine V. Felda, 85, of Fairmont, passed away on Friday, January 16, 2015 at her residence. She was born in Shinnston, July 11, 1929 a daughter of the late Arthur “Ott” and Bulah Dorsey. In October of 1946, she married Everett Leo Felda, who preceded her in death on December 22, 1990. Surviving are three children, Joyce Hogan, Fairmont, Thomas Felda and his wife Karen, Fairmont, Patricia Friend and her husband Karl, Stow, OH, 19 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was also preceded in death by one child, Sue Ellen Felda, and two brothers, George and Doug Dorsey. Lorraine was a Life Member of the VFW Post # 629, Fairmont, and a Baptist by faith. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved being around people and never met a stranger. She also enjoyed doing crossword puzzles. The family would like to extend their appreciation to Dr. Peter Ang and Dr. Perry Hall and their staff for their care of Lorraine. Friends may call at the Perine Funeral Home, 1348 S. Pike St., Shinnston, from 11am-7pm, Monday. Cremation will follow the visitation. Interment will be in the Shinnston Masonic Cemetery.
