Cameron Whitehouse Coventry, Connecticut Obituary

Cameron Whitehouse

Cameron H. Whitehouse, 61, of East Sandwich, Massachusetts (formerly of Coventry, CT) passed away at home on Tuesday, January 13, 2015. He was born December 1, 1953 in Hartford, CT, the son of the late Herbert and Mary Elizabeth (Dean) Whitehouse. Cameron (‘Cam’) would say his most outstanding achievement was marrying Marilyn and raising a great son, David. Nothing was more important to Cam than his family. Cam was very proud of David and loved to watch him play soccer and basketball. He never missed a game even though his job was very demanding. Cam was an avid UConn Husky men’s basketball fan. He was also a great athlete and played sports his whole life. He also loved playing Ping-Pong and golf. He was looking forward to retirement and golfing everyday. Cam grew up in East Windsor; he was a hard worker and started working at a young age on tobacco and delivering newspapers. In high school, he was active in sports and played varsity soccer and basketball. He was also active in politics and was president of the Student Council and editor of the school newspaper. Cameron built a career at Coca Cola. He started out as a clerk with the vending machines and worked his way up to Director of Operations and Plant Manager III in Needham, MA. He was a leader and those who worked with him respected and loved him. He worked for Coca Cola for 35 years. Cameron fought a courageous battle against Pancreatic Cancer. Cameron is survived by his wife, Marilyn (Caron) Whitehouse of East Sandwich MA and his son David Whitehouse of Brookline MA. He is also survived by his sister Catherine Whitehouse of Windsor Locks, and her four children Chantale Bellavance, Camil Bellavance, Renee Bellavance, Marc Bellavance (wife Meghan); his brother Herbert Whitehouse (wife Chia Wang) of Orlando FL and their five children, Karynn Pilipski-Whitehouse (husband Ian), Kamin Whitehouse (wife Arianna), Kaja Whitehouse, Kalee Whitehouse-Graves (husband Chris), and Kasen Whitehouse; his mother-in-law Marie Caron of Manchester CT; his sister-in-law Debbie Russell (husband Richard) and their two children Sarah Russell-Bump (husband Adam) and Ricky Russell, all of Coventry CT; his brother-in-law Richard Caron (wife Susan) of Eureka CA; his brother-in-law, Lee Caron (wife Kathie) and their daughter Michelle of Scottland CT; and his brother-in-law John Lodyko of Manchester CT. He leaves behind many great nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family from 4 to 7 PM (Memorial Service will follow) on Friday, January 16, 2015 at the Coventry-Pietras Funeral Home, 2665 Boston Tpke. (Route 44) Coventry, CT 06238. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Marc Bellavance for ‘Wheels for Elena’ (89A Pratt Street, Glastonbury, CT 06033) or a charity of your choice.
