Loretta Coffey, age 70, 106 Natalie Lane, Erwin, passed away Tuesday, January 6, 2015 in the ER at Unicoi County Memorial Hospital. She was a lifelong resident of Unicoi County and a daughter of the late James Edward "Jim" and Nola Cutshaw Sparks. Mrs. Coffey was a homemaker. She was of the Freewill Baptist faith. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Avis Coffey on August 28, 2014, three brothers and one sister. Mrs. Coffey leaves behind to cherish her memory, one son, Kelvin Coffey of Erwin; three daughters, Brenda Hawkins and husband, Kenny of Johnson City; Dianne Coffey; Rachel Forbes and husband, Robert, all of Erwin; three brothers, Freeman Sparks and wife, Velva; Allen Sparks and wife, Mary; Johnny Sparks and wife, Carolyn, all of Erwin; two sisters, Linda Parker and husband, Bill of Jonesborough; Margaret Hardin and husband, Warren of Erwin; eight grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews also survive. Mrs. Coffey's family will receive friends Friday, January 9, 2015 from 5:00 P. M. until the hour of service at 7:00 P. M. from the Robert Ledford Funeral Home Chapel and other times at the home, 106 Natalie Lane, Erwin. Reverend Danny Hughes will officiate. Music will be provided by Inez Chandler. Pallbearers will be Kelvin Coffey, Robert Forbes, Josh Coffey, Christopher Coffey, Michael White and Aaron Waddle. The family, minister, pallbearers and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home on Saturday by 1:30 P. M. to go in procession to the Evergreen Cemetery for the 2:00 P. M. Committal Service.
