Gary Leon Spring, 58, of Coventry beloved husband to Darla (Payne)Spring passed away unexpectedly on Friday, December 26, 2014 at his home. He was born May 30, 1956 in Hartford, CT son of the late Vincent and Shirley (Rogers)Spring. Besides his beautiful bride and best friend of 16 years he is also survived by his pride and joy, his beloved daughter; Chelsea L. Spring of Brooklyn, NY, his grandchildren and the apple of his eyes; Thomas Young and Vivian Cesario both of Coventry. His best friend, and brother to him; Brian Chapman, and many, many dear friends, as well as his treasured companion, Sugar Bear. Gary was a great guy and a friend to all. He was a very talented and well known artist and owner of Spring Painting Company for more than 35 years, specializing in painting and wallpaper as well as painting custom murals. Gary appreciated the simple pleasures in life, he loved boats and the ocean and he truly loved his wife's home cooking. Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family for calling hours at Coventry- Pietras Funeral Home 2665 Boston Turnpike (RT44) Coventry, CT on Saturday, January 3, 2015 from 10am-11:30am with a Funeral Home Service to begin at 11:30am and for Gary's service in the United States Coast Guard military honors will be rendered at 12pm (Noon). Burial will be private at the convenience of the family
