William “Bill” Michael Faulkner passed away December 17th, 2014 at home in Gresham, Oregon surrounded by family. He was born April 8, 1952 and was 62 years of age at the time of his passing. A memorial service is scheduled for 11:00 A.M., Saturday, January 10, 2015 at Anderson's Tribute Center (1401 Belmont Avenue, Hood River, Oregon 97031). Bill was born in Taft, California to John S. and Agnes (Cook) Faulkner. He moved with his family to the Hood River Valley and graduated from Wy’East High School – Last Class in 1970. They called him Billie and Stump when he was a star for the Golden Eagles. He served in the United States Army after high school and upon his honorable discharge lived in Hood River, Burns and The Dalles working as a meat cutter, retiring in Gresham. He enjoyed being with family and friends, camping, hunting, cooking, BBQ’ing, Sports (ESPN, The Oregon Ducks and Portland Trailblazers) and working on ancestry and genealogy. He was a member of the Elks Lodge, Moose and the American Legion. He was an officer at the local Elks Lodge in The Dalles and rose to Exalted Ruler. He was actively involved in the charity work done during his time at the Elks. On December 23, 2006 he married Wendy Struckman and they made their home in Gresham, Oregon. They greatly enjoyed the company of neighbors and friends, good food and good drink. Their home welcomed everyone, and good times were had by all. Bill is survived by his wife, Wendy Struckman of Gresham, Oregon; daughter, Kara Manley of Beaverton, Oregon; son, Wesley Faulkner of The Dalles, Oregon; sister, Jan Price of Bend, Oregon; grandchildren; Joey, Lexus, Sierra, Madison, Siyra, Annabelle, and Kiyra; and numerous nieces and nephews that were very important to him; and many friends that he has collected over the years. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Dale Faulkner and Johnnie Faulkner and two sisters, Wanda Thomas and Barbara Sheek. Arrangements are under the direction of Anderson's Tribute Center (Funerals • Receptions • Cremations) 1401 Belmont Avenue, Hood River, Oregon 97031.
